Congratulations! You’ve found my very first blog post! Not long ago, I finally joined something called Instagram. I’m having fun with it and am trying to use it as a place to share my adventures with yarn.
A little about me? As I write this, I’m a 36-year-old guy living in the Inland Northwest and have been knitting for about 11 months. My wife taught me the garter stitch and it kind of just took off from there for me. I have multiple projects in the works, including the queen-size blanket (originally meant to be a throw) that is finally nearly complete.
So far I’ve finished 3 hats, with one more on the way. I’ll post pics and links to the pattern I used later.
As for crochet, I’ve made a little Yoda amigurumi, but nothing else. Today, I just joined Annie’s Crochet Afghan Block-of-the-Month club – more on that in a later post.
Historically, my fiber art of choice has been counted cross-stitch. I started with needlepoint – wasn’t a fan – then quickly moved to cross-stitch. I have several completed projects and a couple in progress.
Seems I have a lot of projects in progress at the moment, but I like to move around to different things a lot.
My intention with this blog is to share my yarn adventures (among other things) from a beginner’s and a guy’s perspective.
Feel free to find and follow me on Instagram @aguywithyarn. I’ll try to keep you interested.
